Implementation

We teach our History curriculum in units. 

Our lessons each have a clear Learning Objective, succinct Success Criteria adapted to meet the needs of individual learners, and Key Vocabulary visible to enable all students to understand what success looks like in each lesson. 

We use quizzing, careful curriculum planning and monitoring to ensure that History is being implemented cohesively. 

We take immense pride in our books, but we also highly value practical activities, experiences and trips to enrich our student’s knowledge and understanding.

 For each topic, learners are provided with a Knowledge Organiser to support them in the retrieval of key facts, dates and significant figures.
